Tips For Healthy Skin

The skin is exposed to numerous stressors – which corresponds to its task, protecting us from the outside. It should all the more be paid the utmost attention to in everyday life. With certain behaviors and measures, you can effectively contribute to the health and well-being of your healthy skin and help it to ward off harmful influences.

How To Support Your Skin Health:

  • Do not use (frequent) peelings or facial tonics containing alcohol
  • Choose cleaning and care products tailored to your skin type and any skin problems you may have.
  • Avoid long baths or showers that are too hot and long – this can rob the skin of moisture.
  • Use mild, soap-free products with a skin-friendly pH value (approx. 5.5) for cleaning so that the skin’s protective acid layer is preserved.
  • Adapt your skincare to the season.
  • Eat a healthy and balanced diet, and make sure you drink enough fluids. Take care of yourself!

Skincare

Healthy skin makes you look and feel better. Therefore, regular skincare is essential to maintain a clear, radiant complexion. Despite a large selection of care products and aids, healthy, regular skincare does not have to be complicated. A few essential tips can simplify your daily grooming:

Cleaning

Regular soaps can irritate the skin. It is, therefore, better to use a cleansing product that is tailored to your skin type. Please choose a product that matches the skin’s pH (around 5.5) and doesn’t damage its natural acid mantle.

Clean the face no more than twice a day (morning and evening). After cleansing, pat skin dry. Do not rub your face with a towel; it will irritate sensitive skin.

Daycare

Dry skin can absorb the care best as long as the skin is still slightly damp. It is best to apply your daycare immediately after cleansing, this will keep the moisture in your skin, and the skin will remain smooth and supple.

A day cream with a sun protection factor (SPF) is a practical option because it means you don’t have to worry about sun protection.

Night Cream

A rich night cream can provide the skin with intensive moisture and valuable ingredients while you sleep and supports the skin’s natural regeneration process. Make sure that your skin contains soothing and barrier-strengthening ingredients in addition to moisturizing ingredients so that it can regenerate optimally overnight.

Eye Care

The skin around the eyes is fragile and sensitive, so it needs special care. Rich eye care supplies the exposed area with moisture helps to reduce dryness lines and prevent signs of tiredness (e.g., dark circles under the eyes).

Don’t Forget The Body

When looking in the mirror, the focus is on the face; however, you should not neglect your body. Because we wear clothes for most of the day, we tend to pay less attention to the skin on our arms, legs, and torso, but it can also be dry and irritating.

Use a mild cleansing product and make it a habit to apply an appropriate moisturizer immediately after showering or bathing.

Sun Screen

Sunscreen isn’t just for hot days. Regular use of sunscreen protects against free radicals caused by UV radiation and can lead to skin damage and skin aging. In our latitudes, you need SPF 15 at least for daily protection; Sunscreens with SPF 30 (or higher) are helpful if you are going to be in the sun for a long time or if your skin is susceptible to the sun.

Ensure that the product protects against UVA radiation (which causes skin aging, among other things) and UVB radiation (which causes sunburn, among other things). Remember that any sunscreen will need to be reapplied if you will be out in the sun for a long time – to follow the instructions on the packaging.
