Unbearably Good: Classic Iced Coffee With Ice Cream And Cream
Minor sins are allowed in summer – especially when they are as refreshing as an iced coffee. Just save yourself a visit to the ice cream parlor and enjoy a homemade ice coffee instead.
Ingredients For The Classic Iced Coffee Recipe (For 1 Glass)
- 200ml of coffee
- optional sugar and milk
- 1-2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
- whipped cream
- Chocolate sprinkles, brittle or cocoa powder for sprinkling
- Syrup for refining
Boil your coffee as usual. If you like, you can cook it a little stronger. The ice will dilute the flavor a bit. If you want to sweeten your coffee, you should do it while it is warm so that the sugar dissolves better. Put the coffee in the fridge for 1-2 hours.
First, fill some milk in a tall glass if you need it. Otherwise, you start with the coffee straight away. The glass should be tall enough to leave enough room for ice cream and whipped cream. Then put 1-2 scoops of vanilla ice cream on the coffee and top it off with a little whipped cream.
You can sprinkle a few chocolate sprinkles, some brittle or cocoa powder on the cream for the eye. Put a straw in and enjoy!
Tip: Instead of using vanilla ice cream, you can also prepare the iced coffee recipe with chocolate ice cream, caramel, nuts or stracciatella. It gets even tastier if you drizzle some caramel, chocolate or hazelnut syrup on top of the cream. A dash of Baileys or Amaretto also tastes heavenly in iced coffee.
Tip for anyone in a hurry: Fill freshly brewed coffee into ice cube trays and freeze them. You can put this in the iced coffee to cool down faster. Another plus: the iced coffee does not water down.
Healthy And Delicious: Low-Calorie Iced Coffee
Yes, there are quite a few calories in the classic iced coffee recipe. If you’re on a diet, you don’t have to do without it entirely. Use less vanilla ice cream and leave out the whipped cream. That tastes good too.
If you want to save even more calories, you can omit the ice cream altogether. Then cool the coffee, as usual, fill it with low-fat cow’s milk or soy milk in a glass, add a few ice cubes if you like and add a little caramel or vanilla syrup for more flavor.
Super Creamy: Iced Coffee Recipe ‘Frappuccino’
Do you love Starbucks Frappuccino? We’ll show you how easy it is to make it yourself at home.
Ingredients For Iced Coffee ‘Frappe’ (For 1 Glass)
- 1/2 teaspoon instant coffee
- 1.5 tsp sugar
- crushed ice
- milk to taste
- whipped cream
- Syrup for refining
Put the coffee, sugar, crushed ice and 2 tablespoons of water in a shaker and shake well until the coffee has dissolved. The mixture should foam slightly. Put the mixture in a tall glass and fill it with milk and some cream. Finally, you can top the Frappuccino with whipped cream and chocolate syrup or caramel syrup.
Tip: It will be even creamier if you put the mixture in a blender and puree it briefly. Then pour into the glass and refine with whipped cream and syrup. This is how the homemade Frappuccino tastes like Starbucks!
Beautifully Chocolaty: Iced Coffee Recipe ‘Mocha’
Coffee Mocha combines bitter coffee with sweet cocoa. This also tastes heavenly as an iced coffee recipe. Make coffee as usual and keep it cool.
Fill the well-chilled coffee into a tall glass, add a little milk and optionally two tablespoons of cocoa powder or chocolate syrup. Top off with vanilla or chocolate ice cream. Marshmallows are also a delicious topping for your iced coffee – doesn’t that look delicious?
