Treatments For Pimples And Blackheads

The best pimple treatments usually reduce the sebum production that clogs the pores. Many of them involve the use of acids.

But what about when they flare up? Inflamed pimples are usually deeper, causing pain and a lot of discomforts. They are sensitive to the touch, take time to heal, have marked redness, can be swollen, and have pus.

In addition to keeping foods in your diet to avoid pimples and blackheads, these treatments below are essential to the daily care of your skin.

Clean Gently

This is the first step. Use warm water, and massage your face and neck. Wash well with mild soap, and dry.

We suggest that you do this cleanse every morning and evening and after exercising. No more than that because it can irritate the skin and stimulate oiliness.

It is also essential to adapt the cleaning frequency according to your skin characteristics. For example, if your skin is oily, you can wash it more times a day. On the other hand, the driest skins can be cleaned only twice a day to prevent excessive cleaning from causing excessive sebum production.

Tonic

Toning helps remove residue after cleansing and restoring the skin’s natural pH levels. Use pure apple cider vinegar as a toner. With a cotton swab, wipe over the skin, paying attention to areas susceptible to active blackheads and whiteheads.

Apple cider vinegar contains potassium, magnesium, acetic acid, and several enzymes that eliminate bacteria from the skin.

Healing Masks

It is used to moisturize and heal the skin about twice a week. They can be yogurt, honey, cinnamon, and essential oils.

To make the yogurt and honey mask:

  1. Mix a spoon of honey with a scoop of yogurt.
  2. Apply to face, noting areas with pimples.
  3. Leave for 10 minutes and gently wipe with a damp cloth.

To make the cinnamon and honey mask:

  1. Mix two tablespoons of honey, one tablespoon of coconut oil, and half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder.
  2. Spread over the face.
  3. Be careful not to get it over your eyes, as cinnamon can irritate them.

Leave the mask on for 5 to 10 minutes and remove it with a damp cloth. The mixture of honey and cinnamon fights blackheads and whiteheads because both are anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and have antibacterial properties.

Exfoliate Regularly

Clogged pores and dead skin contribute to acne. Therefore, exfoliation is essential to remove dead tissue. There are commercially available sponges made with chemicals that can irritate your skin. Then you can make your sponge.

You can use sea salt, brown sugar, oatmeal, base, oil, kefir, or honey. These foundations fight bacteria and fungi, and the textured ingredients open pores, remove blackheads and remove dead skin.

Mix 2 tablespoons of the dry ingredient of your choice with one or two tablespoons of the foundation of your choice. Rub over the skin in circular motions. Remove with a damp cloth, and rinse well.

Hydration

The skin needs to be hydrated, even those with pimples, unlike many think. Drying pimples through topical applications is wrong because the skin produces more oil, causing more spots.

Coconut oil is an excellent moisturizer, albeit a little greasy for some skin types. However, the journal Biomaterials showed a study that states that the lauric acid in coconut oil is the most potent agent against the bacterial activity of pimples, and its application should be considered by those who do not have very oily skin.

Protect Yourself From The Sun

Prolonged exposure to the sun should be avoided as this increases the stress on the skin cells and can stimulate the sebaceous glands and produce even more oil. Both factors contribute to the appearance of pimples and blackheads.

Protection from the sun’s rays is another preventive measure for acne-prone skin. Ultraviolet rays stimulate pigment-producing cells, increasing the risk of acne scarring.

However, in this case, the best and safest option is to look for a dermatologist to indicate the best type of sunscreen for your skin.

Consider Using Probiotic Supplements

Combating acne requires internal and external treatments. Live probiotics support digestion and immune system function and improve skin health by fighting acne.

Of course, food plays a vital role in the health of your skin, and by following the tips above, you will ensure not only acne-free skin but also brighter and more vital skin.
